CHRISTINA PEREIRA

Christina Pereira began her career as a hand poke artist and transitioned to machine work in 2020 under the name ‘Waljorem'. Her artistic style is influenced by Japanese illustration, 90's style tattooing and cultural motifs. She is known for her work in tattoo, illustration, design, painting, sculpture and art direction.

 

Christina grew up in Nairobi before her family moved to Melbourne where she completed a Bachelors in Communication Design at RMIT University. She is currently working from Corner Store Studio in Clifton Hill. She has had recent collaborations with SUKU Home and Crawling Death; creating a series of illustrations for their apparel.
